If you are looking for a 2JZ-GTE engine for sale, you probably know the story already. This is the 3.0 litre twin turbo straight six that Toyota put in the MK4 Supra and the Aristo, and twenty-odd years later people are still pulling them out, freshening them up and bolting them into everything from drift cars to old pickups. We have this 2JZ-GTE engine for sale in stock right now and we ship to buyers all over the world.

Here is what the engine is, what to check before you order, and how buying from us works.

What makes the 2JZ-GTE worth the money

The short answer is the block. It is thick cast iron with a forged crank, and Toyota built it far stronger than the factory power figure needed. Toyota rated the Japanese version at 276 hp because of the old horsepower agreement between Japanese makers, and the export Supra got 320 hp. Plenty of owners run a lot more than that on the stock bottom end.

The head is a DOHC 24 valve design driven by a timing belt. Bore and stroke are both 86 mm, so the engine is square and revs freely. From the factory it breathes through two turbochargers working in sequence: the first one spools early for low-down pull and the second comes in higher up the rev range.

Who usually buys a 2JZ-GTE engine

Most of our orders for this motor come from three kinds of buyer. Supra and Aristo owners replacing a tired or damaged original. Builders doing a swap into a Nissan, BMW, Lexus or a classic, because the 2JZ fits a lot of bays with the right mounts. And workshops that want a known, solid base for a big single turbo build.

If you only want a naturally aspirated swap, have a look at the 2JZ-GE engine instead. It shares the block but costs less. For something lighter there is the 1JZ-GTE VVT-i, and if you also need a gearbox, we list a 2JZ-GTE with the V160 Getrag six speed.

Before you order your 2JZ-GTE engine for sale

A few things save a lot of trouble later:

Check whether your car needs the VVT-i or the earlier non VVT-i version. The wiring and ECU are different.
Decide if you will keep the stock twin turbos or go single turbo. That changes which parts you actually need from us.
Plan for a new timing belt, water pump, seals and fresh fluids at install. It is cheap insurance on any used engine.
Send us your vehicle details if you are unsure. We would rather answer questions now than deal with a return later.

2JZ-GTE engine for sale: common questions

Is this 2JZ-GTE engine for sale VVT-i or non VVT-i?

It depends on the unit in stock at the time. Message us before you order and we will confirm which version you are getting, along with photos.

Can I ship a 2JZ-GTE engine outside the United States?

Yes. We send engines worldwide. You get a freight quote first, so there are no surprises when the crate arrives.

Will a 2JZ-GTE engine for sale fit my car without changes?

In a Supra or Aristo it is a straight swap. In anything else you will need mounts, a wiring harness and usually a different sump, so plan the swap before the engine lands.
